Country Girls Make Do!

Hilarious Ladies Night Comedy will bring out the cowgirls to your venue!

Country Girls Make Do! Is a 90 minute show headlined by Sarah Stupar, featuring two hilarious supporting acts, Amy Edgar and Gabby Rose.

This show is open to men and women, but no hurt feelings will be tolerated boys, so don’t cry if you get roasted!

Hosted by Amy Edgar

Amy Edgar is a stand up comedian and the daughter of professional clowns. Growing up people often asked if she wanted to be a clown like her parents. She would quickly correct them saying “no! I want to be a clown like me!”

With a playful persona and infectious energy, Amy is able to connect with audiences of all kinds, and leave them wanting more.

In 2023, she hosted Sled Island Festival’s comedy programming for a second time, and has also been featured on an episode of CBC Debaters.

Middle Act – Gabby Rose

Gabby Rose is a queer comedian who started her career in Edmonton Alberta in 2021. She quickly found her comedic voice and has since been taking on, and succeeding in exciting opportunities such as opening for Preacher Lawson, and touring around Alberta.

Finding humor in all things, Gabby is comedically inspired by their experiences existing as a queer person in Alberta, and by the fuckery that exists all around us. Taking seemingly mundane and everyday things and extracting the humor in a fresh and funny way is their favorite thing to do. Nothing is as it seems, and the world is a weird place; if we don’t laugh we’ll cry, so lets laugh!

Headliner – Sarah Stupar

Sarah Stupar was born in Cranbrook BC, but left as soon as she could for the bright lights of the city, where she promptly learned what a red neck she truly was! She began stand up in 2012 while studying in Montreal, and continued performing in Vancouver, where she moved in 2015 to work in the film industry (catch her in the background of your favourite Hallmark rom com!)

Upon a return to the East Kootenay in 2019, she began producing the Kootenay Comedy Festival, which evolved into a touring comedy show. She has hit stages in all the mountain towns, but also performed internationally in the USA and Mexico. In February 2022 she relocated to the city where she felt that she could truly let her red neck flag fly – Calgary!

Currently based in Calgary, Sarah can be seen every Monday at the Comedy Cave, and some weekends. In addition to her regular performances at the Comedy Cave, she can be seen on all the various amateur and professional stages around town.
