Coming April 12th to Creston

Featuring:

Sarah Stupar

Sarah Stupar was born in Cranbrook BC, but left as soon as she could for the bright lights of the city, where she promptly learned what a red neck she truly was. She began stand up in 2012 while studying in Montreal, and continued performing in Vancouver, where she moved in 2015 to work in the film industry (catch her in the background of your favourite Hallmark rom com!)

Upon a return to the East Kootenay in 2019, she began producing the Kootenay Comedy Festival, which evolved into a touring comedy show. She has hit stages in all the mountain towns, but also performed internationally in the USA and Mexico. In February 2022 she relocated to the city where she felt that she could truly let her red neck flag fly – Calgary! She can currently be seen every Monday at the Comedy Cave in Calgary.

Amy Edgar

Born in Calgary, Amy Edgar is the only child of two professional party clowns, so you’d best believe she has a unique take on life! With a playful persona and infectious energy, Edgar is able to connect with her audience and leave them wanting more. This past summer, she hosted the comedy programming at Sled Island Festival for a second time. More recently she was featured on an episode of CBC Debaters, along with her parents. “Growing up, people often asked if I wanted to be a clown like my parents” Edgar says. “I would quickly correct them and tell them ‘no, I want to be a clown like me.’”

Austin Lonneberg

Born and raised in Calgary Alberta Austin Lonneberg is one of Canada’s fastest rising comedians. He has performed on stages across the country and left audiences in stitches. Austin’s comedy has been featured on a Just For Laughs Originals compilation album Mystery Skin Foam and The Nikki Glaser podcast.

Inismi Luke

Inismi Luke grew up in the rural small town of Creston, BC the traditional territory of her nation (Ktunaxa). She’s traveled abroad, lived on the coast and out of province but ultimately planted her roots deep in Yaqan Nukiy.

Her love of acting in local play productions and passion for storytelling has led to the exploration of comedy.

Sharing her perspective as an indigenous person who feels like they’re walking/dancing in two different worlds

Her first show case in Vancouver with indig-e girl comedy in November 2023 has ignited her love of making others laugh with and at her.
